Smooth interface for VLC!
Personally I like this one, a LOT, better than the standard interface...
ps. if you want som new icons for VLC as well, you can get those from here.
how?
just drag and drop the files from the "style" you want (all buttons, less buttons, with fullscreen or without fullscreen) over to VLC/contents/resources -folder.
Done.
Transmission Second gear 1.1
Nice new interface for Transmission.
Includes
• New icon, leopard ready.
• Document replacement (credit to GnomeXP for updating that for me).
• Replacements for Info window, Toolbar, Status bar and more.
• Plastic Toolbar replacements for Tiger and below users.
This can be downloaded from this site.
How?
When you have downloaded the files, just drag and drop all of them from their respective folders over to the Transmission/contents/resources -folder...
many macusers that are "up to date", with their mac running on Leopard,
have been quite annoyed with the transparent menubar.
Eternal Storms Software, they have made a nice little utility for making
the menubar NOT transparent.
how to tweak your dock in Leopard
First go to /System/Library/CoreServices and find the "Dock",
right click and press "Show Package Contents".
Then Go inside Contents, then Resources.
Now you're in the right place for making some changes...
You now need to find something to replace your existing dock with.. Leoparddocks is a fine place for just that.
Ok, so now that you have downloaded som nice new png's, you're all set to delete the original ones, and then drag your new dockfiles into place... And the directory you should place your new files was:
/System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources
If you now have replaced the original files with your new ones, go ahead and start the Terminal and type "killall Dock".
Thats it !
ps. if you would like your dock to be 2D, you can achieve just that with the app called Dockscrew (by Superpixel) or with 2DOrNot2D (by Eternal Storms)
"blue screen" appears on startup after installation of Leopard?
Well, you probably had a certain application enhancer installed, that's to blame.
If you by some reason don't like this blue screen, try this:
Restard your computer into single-user mode by holding down
command () and the S-button (thats command-s)
When you're in the single-user mode type these commands, exactly as below:
(after each line hit return)
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
rm -rf /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/ApplicationEnhancer.bundle
reboot
If the problem persists, try something else... maybe reinstalling Leopard,
OR
try getting used to that blue screen...
Times change, why not let your background have a change too, for a change? :D
I was one of the eagerly waiting people who downloaded the app
right away after the release. It's been tried and, the makers was right,
it is still just a child. But I have to say it looks promising...
Naked Light is set to be updated monday 12th.
